Garment Care
Caring for your garment(s).
CAPS
No washing or machine washing. Use a damp cloth only—gentle dabbing of the area—then leave to dry in the shade.
SHIRTS (Bamboo V Singlet/V T-shirt)
With the bamboo and Spandex mix, you might experience white-looking marks; don't worry, that's just the spandex shining through and should disappear after washing or ironing the item.
Wash in a cold (30-degree gentle machine wash only). Turn your garment inside out and use a gentle detergent (see wash label on item).
Drying.
No tumble-drying! Line dry or lay flat in the shade. Try to use a clothes hanger to avoid marks from clothes pegs.
Hanging or steaming your bamboo clothes should be enough to get out most minor creases. Storing your clothes for long periods of time can lead to wrinkles and creases.
Iron (if needed).
You can turn your garments inside out and iron them out on low heat (use a dry iron without steam). Putting a clean tea towel between the iron and the fabric helps to prevent fading.
Benefits of Bamboo
- Softer than cotton.
- Great for sensitive skin.
- Bamboo is breathable due to the microscopic holes in the fiber.
- Thermo-control. Bamboo fabrics also have several insulating properties that help ensure you are warm in the winter and cool in the summer. In warm weather, bamboo fabrics feel fresh while also providing added protection against the chill of a cold day.
- Moisture wicking. Bamboo clothing absorbs more moisture compared to cotton without retaining unpleasant odors. Bamboo fiber micro-holes, allowing the bamboo cloth to have superior absorption, keep you sweat-free and fresh.
- Antibacterial. Bamboo fabric contains a naturally occurring antimicrobial agent that prevents bacteria from growing on it, which helps keep you odor-free. Its unique property of bamboo best suits anyone with sensitive skin or allergies.
